First we’re
going to focus on your PROFILE.
Chances are, you
already have one of these. It is the main way that people connect on Facebook
(notice I didn’t say the main way DIRECT SELLERS connect!)
You should have
a profile picture that is… YOU! Let me be completely honest
with you, it drives me FREAKING CRAZY when someone has a profile that isn’t of
them!
I get it… your
kids are cute, you love your dog, and your last vacation was amazing. But you
don’t need to have those as your profile picture!
You want people
to run into you at Walmart and immediately know that it’s YOU from your
beautiful profile picture!
On Facebook, you
can create a short BIO. Use this to describe YOU! What you love,
what you do for fun and casually mention your business!
You also want to
make sure that in your ABOUT ME section you have your company
listed and your company website listed.
You
are losing customers if you do not have your company listed under your work
section of your About Me!
Now that your profile
is rocking… let’s talk about your GROUP!
We have found
you get the BEST results and relationship connections with your clients from
your Facebook Group. They are your small
community!
You’ll notice
the other women getting to know each other, relating to each other, and helping
each other. It’s BEAUTIFUL!
Your Facebook
Group should be set to Closed. This ensures that only those in your Facebook Group can see
your posts and prevents you from spamming everyone who is NOT in your group!
You don’t want
to accidentally change it to a Secret group - if you do that you won’t be able
to link to your group from your profile and it makes it harder for your
friends, customers, and hostesses to find your group and request to join.
So, in your
Facebook group you need to LOOK the part! Your group should be fun, yet
professional! Like YOU!
Let’s start by
setting up your DESCRIPTION!
Your about me
section is like your mini bio + sales pitch.
You HAVE to make
it count to get them excited about staying and interacting.
This should tell
them a little about you, the company, what benefits they’ll get by being in the
group and where to check out the products.
Keep it short
& sweet, make sure it’s catchy, and avoid PUKING.
I also recommend
you create an awesome photo that you pin to the top that tells them what to do:
WELCOME, introduce yourself to the group & jump into the conversation.
What about
your COVER PHOTO!?!
You do NOT want
a ghetto cover photo!
And you do NOT
want a cover photo that all of the other consultants in your company are using.
You want a cover photo that will let your customers know immediately when they
are in YOUR GROUP!
And you do NOT
want to change your cover photo every month just to spotlight the monthly
special!
If you already
have a cover photo, look it over and ask yourself “is this how I want my
customers to see me?” If the answer is NO then create a new one or find a
designer to help!
So… what should
you post in your group?
FUN
Post pictures
of yourself doing something fun. You can also ask your customers to post a
picture or video on your page wall. This is a great opportunity for them to
share their idea of fun.
FUNNY
You want to
make your fans LAUGH! You can do this by posting funny pictures or videos of
yourself or from YouTube. If you make your customers laugh they will want to
hang out with you and do business with you.
EXCITING
A boring
person has to work 10 times harder to sustain their business than an exciting
person. How can you be exciting? You could share some exciting news, do a
giveaway or share an exciting freebie. You can also use words like YAY, OMG,
and Holla so your customers FEEL your excitement.
ENTERTAINING
Everyone needs
to be able to detach from life once in awhile and be entertained. Can you do
this for your customers? Do you have a signature move that you do? You can have
pictures taken of you doing it in different locations.
EDUCATIONAL
No matter if
your customers ever purchase from you or not, teach them something they can
apply to their life right away. You need to give them more value than what you
are giving to earn those sales.
