It's Tuesday!!! The "T" days do not get any respect.  We dread Monday, Wednesday is dubbed 'hump day' and we look forward to Friday.  I believe that Tuesday is just as important.  It means that we survived Monday!

Recipe of the week:

Lemon Mayo Pasta Salad

                       Ingredients

***Lemon Mayo (makes 1 cup)*** 1 egg yolk 1 tsp. Dijon mustard ½ lemon, juiced using the Zest ’N Press™ Gadget ¼ tsp. coarse kosher salt ¾ cup canola oil ***Pasta Salad*** 12 oz./350 g farfalle 2 green onions, quartered 2 celery stalks, quartered ¾ cup baby carrots ½ green bell pepper, seeded and quartered ½ cup Lemon Mayo ½ tsp. coarse kosher salt ¼ tsp. black pepper, freshly ground 1 cup cooked chicken, cubed (optional)

      Directions

FOR LEMON MAYO: Place egg yolk, mustard, lemon juice and salt into base of Power Chef™ System fitted with paddle whisk attachment. Cover and pull cord several times to blend. Place funnel in recess and slowly add oil while pulling cord until all oil is fully incorporated and mayo is thick. Set aside. FOR PASTA SALAD Place pasta in Microwave Pasta Maker and fill with water to max fill line. Microwave on high power 14 minutes or until al dente. While pasta is cooking, place green onions, celery, carrots and bell pepper into base of Power Chef™ System fitted with blade attachment. Cover and pull cord 6–7 times to roughly chop. Transfer to medium bowl. When pasta has finished cooking, remove from microwave, drain and rinse with cold water until cool. Add pasta to vegetables along with Lemon Mayo, salt, pepper and chicken (if desired). Mix thoroughly using the Saucy Silicone Spatula. Chill before serving.

Do you overthink things in your business?  Do you think that you have to recreate the wheel?  Honestly, we don't.  It is all laid out and easily duplicatable - we just have to make it our own.

Do you have a Facebook page for your business or do you just use your personal page?  Do you offer incentives and play games? If not, you should be.  No one wants to hear about your specials over and over.  They want to know what is in it for them.  Plus they need to know that you are FUN!  There are several games that you can play that doesn't require you giving away the farm.

Orange You Delicious Salad

      

Ingredients

• 10 oz. bagged matchstick carrots or 10 oz. carrots, grated
• 1 cup dried cranberries
• 1 tbsp. poppy seeds
• 8 oz. can pineapple tidbits and juice
• ½ cup orange juice
• salt and pepper
• 
  
•   Directions
• 
  
• Place matchstick or grated carrots in base of Quick Chef® Pro and turn handle to quickly chop into smaller pieces.  Combine all ingredients in a serving bowl.  Refrigerate several hours for flavors to develop.  Serve cold.

Did you know that today is National 'Get To Know Your Customers Day'?

Do you take the time to find out what the needs of your customers are, or are you just trying to close the sale?  This is just food for though!

Today, I want to talk about overcoming objections.

When you are faced with objections, how do you move forward?  If someone says that they don't want to have a party, what did you hear that they said?  Was it that they do not have the space, that they don't know anyone who will come?  Your potential hosts DOES want to have a party, you just haven't dealt with the obstacles that she thinks that she/he has.

1. "I don't have space":  How many times have you heard this?

    I completely understand that you may not have enough space, but I have a space that 

    you can have your party, simply invite your friends and I am going to spoil you with FREE 

    gifts and your friends are going to have a blast!

    Basically, you have to have some places lined up.  This could be your house, a clubhouse at an apartment complex, a restaurant... The list goes on and on.  Be prepared for this objection.

2.  "I just don't have time":  I know that I have heard this more times than I care to recall.

     I can appreciate that.  We are all busy, however, I can do a Facebook party.  These are 

     really fun and your friends can shop from their computer... Amazon style.  They are 

     already on Facebook anyway.

     Facebook parties are becoming more popular.  Look into it on YouTube or check with people that are on your team.

It is up to YOU to create a sense of urgency with potential hosts.  They need some adult time to break up the monotony of doing the same thing day in and day out!  You're not bugging her/him.  They really want to do it!

What are your keys to Success?

When you have a party, are you being fun?  Are you someone who people want to spend their time with?  When you are FUN, people want to party and introduce you to their friends. When you are FUN, you will be more successful.  Take some time to actually think if you are FUN.

Are you being your true self?  Are you being sincere?  People know when you aren't.  Be honest with people and BE YOU.  This will take you far. Don't be someone or something that you are not.  You aren't your recruiter and you aren't someone on your team.  You are YOU and YOU are AMAZING!

Are you excited about the party?  Are you passionate about the product that you have?  If you are excited and passionate, you are not selling, but educating.  People aren't just buying the product because they can buy from anyone... They are buying YOU.

Speaking of educating, are you being educational?  What can your product do for your customers?  Are there things that they didn't know?  How does your product add value?

Are you entertaining?  Are you a story-teller?  How are you engaging your customers?  Is it all about you?
